This small beach is located right next to the Yorkeys Knob Boat Club boat ramp, with a 40 metre forested hill beside it called "Yorkeys Knob" where the suburb gets it's name.
Yorkey was actually George Lawson who had a beche-de-mer fishing station on Green Island in the 19th century. His nick name was Yorkey as he was originally from Yorkshire.
Popular for weddings, this small beach can accommodate around 150 people.
