History behind the Name
Mr Derwent Vallance built the first substantial building at Trinity Beach after WW2. This was a block of four flats alongside the shop and post office, and he also built the shop and leased it to various operators. These included Ron and Norma McKauge in the late '50s. He also built the first caravan park on the Esplanade in partnership with Ron McKauge (a former Councillor of the Mulgrave Shire Council).
