Water payment options

Opt-in to BPAY View for Water Usage

Online banking customers can opt in for BPAY View - a secure, paper-free way to receive and manage bills that avoids the risk of postal delays. Using BPAY View means the billpayer's bank will notify them as soon as a Water Usage Notice is there to be viewed. Payments can then be made through a normal BPAY payment. BPAY View also offers payment reminders.

To register for BPAY View, you need to have first registered for internet banking with your financial institution. Using your unique BPAY Reference Number (this can be found on a previous Water Usage Notice), you can then add Cairns Regional Council to your BPAY View biller list.

Note: the BPAY View registration process varies from bank to bank. Contact your financial institution directly if you need help registering for BPAY View.

Register for Water Usage and Rates Notices by email

You can register to receive your Water Usage and Rates Notices by email. You will need your assessment number/s to register.

	Online payment Pay by Visa or Mastercard online. Go to Online Self Service
	In person Pay in person at any of Cairns Regional Council's Customer Service Centres View Council's Customer Service Centres
	By mail Mail the payment slip from your Water Notice with a cheque or money order to: Cairns Regional Council PO Box 359 Cairns, QLD 4870
	Direct Debit To set up a direct debit from your nominated cheque or savings account, please complete the Direct Debit Request form ( PDF, 0.78 MB ).
	BPAY Contact your bank or financial institution to make a payment from your nominated account. Biller Code: 51722 Reference Number: Property Assessment number
	BPAY View BPAY View enables you to receive your Water Notice online through your online banking

	Australia Post In person: Payment can be made in person at more than 3,200 Post Offices, over the counter or at one of their new self-service terminals.
