Volunteer with Cairns Libraries

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, be involved in your community and make new friends. Volunteers are an important part of Cairns Libraries’ service to the community.

Our volunteers support Cairns Libraries in a range of ways, including assistance with:

• Library events and activities
• Outreach events such as Children's Festival, Carnival on Collins etc.
• Home Library Service
• Preparing materials for events and activities.

Cairns Living Library:  What’s Your Story?

Everybody has a story. What's yours?

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from community members who are willing to share their story in a small group environment.

The Cairns Living Library program will provide community members with an opportunity to listen to the knowledge and lived experiences of their fellow community members.
