This year’s Cairns Festival welcomes with a knife and fork in hand, the return of the Long Lunch on Sunday 26 August, following on from last year’s tasty success.

Set on Cairns waterfront overlooking Trinity Inlet, the Long Lunch is a collaborative effort by Harbour Lights’ neighbouring restaurants, Ochre, Dundee’s Restaurant and Marina Paradiso.

The afternoon comprises of a very long table set on the boardwalk that will play host to a delicious afternoon of local flavours with a large helping of fun.

Guests will indulge in a four-course menu accompanied by drinks – from a menu that has been carefully created and curated to showcase the authentic flavours of the Tropical Far North.

Featuring performances by Kaweyova and the annual Boardwalk waiter’s race.

Chargrilled Rocky Creek eye fillet on creamy mashed potato with wilted spinach, seeded mustard sabayon & red wine jus

Char sui duck breast on honey roast sweet potato with sautéed chilli green beans and sticky orange soy

Deconstructed riberry banoffee pie – macadamia crumb, dulce de leche, smoked Iridium rum, - caramelised banana and banana gelato
