  • Tanks Arts Centre Art Gallery -  Gallery Attendants

The Visual Arts Program at the Tanks is designed to stimulate a creative response to these attributes from artists, communities and visitors. The gallery provides a distinctive backdrop for presenting works. With its oil-stained concrete walls and interior poles, Tank 4 is far from a conventional, white-walled gallery and plays host to a variety of local and touring exhibitions, artist’s residencies and studio activity.

It celebrates our creative community and unique sense of place with a vision that is simple, ‘To deliver a vibrant, progressive and collaborative community festival that is highly reflective and engaged with the community’.

The festival aims to seek greater regional and national recognition of our cultural identity in the Far North; to tell our unique stories and celebrate our distinctive, tropical lifestyle. We strive to produce an annual cultural celebration that means something to the residents of the Cairns region, and is available nowhere else on earth.
