If your vehicle has been impounded you are liable for the cost Council has incurred to remove and store your vehicle.
You can apply to have these costs waived by downloading a form from For Downloads at the bottom of this page and returning it to Council in person or by mail.
Council will not consider waiving impound fees relating to:
- Unregistered vehicles parked within the local government controlled area, such as a road or footpath; or
- Vehicles being stripped of parts or having mechanical repairs carried out within the local government controlled area, such as a road or footpath.
You must submit your application within 7 days of the notice date.
We will then contact you regarding your application within 10 working days of receiving your application.
