Multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, David Hudson, has travelled all over the globe, performing as a solo artist as well as with celebrated Greek-born musician and producer Yanni (Yiannis Chryssomallis) and with renowned dance troupe Tjapukai, which he co-founded.
David comes from the Ewamian (oo-rah-min)/Western Yalanji, (people of the north-east coast of Australia), and now calls Cairns home. Over his varied career, David has released multiple albums featuring his extraordinary didgeridoo, percussion and guitar playing skills as well as a plethora of original songs and stories. David’s life, music and art consistently reflect his love and passion for the rich cultural history of his ancestors, the indigenous people of this beautiful country.
When it comes to experiencing a David Hudson performance, no two are the same, as David wholeheartedly shares himself and his culture with his audience. His music tells of where he comes from and who he is. Inspired by the simple beauty of FNQ life; the running water of a mountain stream, leaves falling in the rainforest and the stories of this land from years gone by, come along and be enthralled by this supreme entertainer and storyteller.
