Businesses from across the Tropical North are invited to the launch of Council's 2018 Tropical North Queensland Innovation Awards at the Tanks Arts Centre on Monday 28 May, from 4pm.

The launch will be held in conjunction with the finals of the Young Entrepreneurs Project's Big Fish Competition, with Queensland Chief Entrepreneur and "Shark Tank" judge Steve Baxter as special guest presenter at 5:30pm.

  • 4pm: Mayor's welcome and opening address
  • 4:15-5:30pm: Finals of Big Fish pitching competition
  • 5:30pm: Guest presenter - Steve Baxter, Queensland Chief Entrepreneur and "Shark Tank" judge
  • 6:00pm: Networking and refreshments

About the Tropical North Queensland Innovation Awards

The 2018 TNQ Innovation Awards recognise and reward those working innovatively across the vast and diverse Tropical North Queensland region.  We are looking for trail-blazing local entrepreneurs, creative thinkers and smart businesses who are doing new things. This might be the creation of a new product or the development of a new process or service - the scope is huge!
