Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) invites you to attend a free one day workshop to assist you to get ready to start your own business.  If you're an Indigenous Australian with a well-researched business proposal and are ready to start your own business, this session is for you.

Business specialists will assist during the workshop to investigate and apply key marketing concepts, finance and general management to strengthen your business proposal. You will also learn about what a financier or investor looks for in a proposal and what they will expect from you once you start your business.

During the workshop you will create a one page document that assists you to clearly outline your business model. You can expect to leave the workshop with a clearer, more refined business model that will better assist you to pitch your business to lenders, partners or investors as well as to understand the next steps towards launching your business.

Catering and workbooks are provided.

Please bring:

  • your documented business proposal
  • any research findings or other work you have undertaken to develop your business idea so far
  • examples of your product or service if available.
