The Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics (The University of Sydney) and Epilepsy Action Australia invite parents and carers of children with epilepsy interested in medicinal cannabis to a morning tea forum.
Carol Ireland (CEO, Epilepsy Action Australia), Anastasia Suraev (Research Associate, The Lambert Initiative) and Ruth Blackburn (Research Officer, The Lambert Initiative) will provide an overview of medicinal cannabis for childhood epilepsy including current research and legal pathways of how to access medicinal cannabis in Queensland.
There will be questions and discussion on the topic from parents and carers. Anastasia and Ruth will also be taking expressions of interest for the PELICAN study from parents on the day.
The PELICAN study is open to parents of children with epilepsy who are interested in being interviewed on the topic of medicinal cannabis. All parents and families are welcome to participate, whether or not they are using medicinal cannabis to treat their child’s epilepsy.
Parents can also discover how they can receive feedback on the cannabinoid content of a product they are using, or have used in the past, through participating in the study.Add to my calendar
