2016 Christmas eCard competition

Each year, young people throughout the Cairns region are invited to create an image to be used for Council's Christmas eCard with the chance to win a fabulous prize and be chosen to assist the Mayor to officially turn on the lights on the Lagoon Plaza Christmas tree on Wednesday 30 November 2016.

The theme for 2016 is An Aussie Christmas in the Tropics. The competition is open to residents of the Cairns Regional Council local government area who are aged 13 years and under.

The competition will be separated into three age categories, with the three winners to be invited to switch on the lights on Cairns Esplanade Christmas Tree in December.  The design selected as the overall winner will become the official 2016 Cairns Regional Council eCard.

The competition is now closed.

Winners will be announced Thursday 30 November 2016 at the lighting of the Christmas tree on the Esplanade.
