An Evening with Tex, Don and Charlie
Venue Tank 5 - On sale now
Twelve years in the making, Australian super group Tex, Don and Charlie have a brand new album and are celebrating its release with a massive national tour.
It’s only ever happened on a few rare times, so when Tex Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Beasts of Bourbon), Don Walker (Cold Chisel) and Charlie Owen record music together, you know it’s going to be special.
Stopping in at the Tanks for an intimate night of story-telling, the band will play songs from their rare, special recordings, including the trio’s spectacular 1993 debut Sad But True - itself widely regarded as one of the great Australian albums, and 2005’s All Is Forgiven; as well as their latest offering You Don’t Know Lonely.
To be released nationally on June 30, You Don’t Know Lonely is a gripping collection of 12 evocative stories in song, featuring drummer extraordinaire Charley Drayton, bass master Steve Hadley and pedal steel wiz Garrett Costigan.
As a bonus to everyone who buys a ticket to An Evening with Tex, Don and Charlie we will email you an mp3 of A Man in Conflict with Nature which is the first track off their soon to be released new album You Don't Know Lonely. (Emails will go out each Friday).
