History behind the name

Named after the street this park borders.  Baronia Close, Holloways Beach is so names as many street names in this suburb were named for a floral theme at the suggestion of Anne Edwards, a resident of the suburb from 1961 to the mid 1980's. The correct botanical name is Boronia.
