Rates, fees & charges

Council raises most of its revenue from rates levied against residential and commercial properties. This revenue funds more than 400 services and functions - from water and sewerage, to roads, parks, libraries and leisure facilities. Under the Local Government Act, numerous regulatory responsibilities are devolved to Council by the Queensland Government.

The 2016-2017 Differential General Rates were adopted at the Special (Budget) Meeting on 27 June 2016.
