Community grants

Council's Community Grant Program provides financial and in-kind assistance to eligible community groups and organisations for cultural, social, sport and economic development initiatives.

Limited funds are available through a competitive process, with applications determined according to funding criteria and merit. Applicants must use the correct form and follow the grant guidelines. Submission of an application is not a guarantee of success.

Sports and Recreation Young People in Sport Assists young local athletes with cost of representing Queensland/Australia at national/international sporting competitions. (*Note: applications must be lodged prior to start of the sporting competition.)

  Go on Get Sun Smart Financial assistance to support clubs with development of areas that provide shade in accordance with Council's Sunsmart policy. (Note: projects must be completed by 30 June 2016.)

  Go Clubs Greener Building Initiative  Helps clubs reduce energy consumption, operating costs and overall environmental impact. It provides a free inspection and report on club facilities with financial assistance provided to implement priority recommendations. (Note: projects must be completed by 30 June 2016.)

In Kind: Essentials 
Support through core Council business to complete projects that assist safety requirements, compliance with legislation or lease documentation and meeting relevant Australian Standards.
