Council, through its Economic Development and Innovation Unit, has a clear focus on economic growth and long-term sustainability, and works to support local business and industry development.

New fast-track process for Development Applications
Responding to the current economic climate and customer calls for speedier resolutions, Council has introduced a new “fast track” approval process for development applications. The new process will expedite assessment of domestic scale applications (eg houses in hillslopes, extensions to buildings in a character precinct), with an aim for a 10 day turnaround.
A new Application Kit provides clear guidance about the level of information and supporting documentation required by Council.
