Meetings, Agendas & Minutes
Ordinary Council Meetings take place on the last Thursday of each month (unless an alternative date has been advertised) and are chaired by the Mayor, Councillor Val Schier. Meetings are generally held in the Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of the Council Administration Building at 119-145 Spence Street, Cairns.
Council also operates five Committees (listed below), which hold regular meetings.
Meeting dates for May-December 2008 are available here (PDF file). Meetings are open to the public unless a closed session is declared.
Agenda outlines are made available to the public at the time of release of the agendas to Councillors. This information is accessible via the website or from Council's Customer Service Centres. Publicly available Minutes are published on this site.
On meeting days, all open session reports are available on this website and can also be perused at Council's Spence Street Customer Service Centre.

- The first Statutory Meeting of the Cairns Regional Council was held on Thursday 3 April 2008.
Deputations
Cairns Regional Council invites submissions from groups or individuals wishing to make a formal deputation to Council on Thursday, 28 August 2008 (2:30pm to 3:30pm). Deputations will be held at the Spirit of Babinda Hall, 51 Munro Street, Babinda. Download the Deputation Request Form here.
