Council is committed to the engagement of our community across a range of policy, program and service issues.
We believe that communication is a two-way street and as such we will actively listen to the views of stakeholders - their ideas, information and opinions - while being inclusive and sensitive to imbalances within and between different stakeholder groups.
Community Engagement refers to connections between governments, residents and communities on a wide range of policy, program and service issues, thus providing Council with the information required to make ‘better’ decisions affecting residents of the Cairns Region.
