Waste collection in far north Cairns Regional Council Area is broken up into 2 sections, Recycling and General Collection. General collection occurs once a week in all areas from Wangetti to Forest Creek and Daintree Township and is contracted to local company Adam Waste. Recycling will now occur fortnightly and is contracted to Cairns company Cleanaway. To find your collection day please click on the link below.

The following wastes are not accepted at any of the Far North Cairns Regional Council's Waste Transfer Stations:
- Waste fat, cooking oil, grease etc.

- Chemicals, solvents, wet paint etc.

- Photographic Fluid

- Liquid pesticides, chemicals
Chemclear: 1800 008 182
Large amounts of regulated waste (eg. abrasive blasting media, soils contaminated with heavy metals etc.)
