Advertising signage in one of Australia's leading tourism destinations is to be cleaned up after complaints from the community. Douglas Shire Council will be conducting a signage audit across the shire from August to establish the legal status of advertising signs.
This campaign will take about 12 months to complete. Council encourages sign owners who do not have approval to either check the policy and submit an application or remove the sign.
