Division 9

Councillor Sno Bonneau

Councillor Sno Bonneau is an independent councillor representing the newly created Cairns Regional Council Division 9 which covers Kewarra Beach, Trinity Beach, Trinity Park, south of Paradise Palms, Smithfield, Caravonica and Lake Placid.

Councillor Bonneau is presently in his fourth term representing the community, being first elected in 1995.

Sno has lived in Cairns for some 23 years with his wife and three children and he has a passionate love for what he believes is one of the most beautiful and special places on earth.

Sno enjoys a close working relationship with community members, business and neighbourhood watch groups, sporting clubs and voluntary associations, helping them obtain funds and improvements.

Through Sno’s long service as a councillor he has gained an extensive knowledge of local government which will be of value in the new Cairns Regional Council and the amalgamation with the previous Douglas Shire Council.  

Sno represents the community on all of the Cairns Regional Council committees.
