Carrot on a Stick Program

Overview:  A healthy eating and active lifestyle program engaging families in the following manner:

Adults - nutrition and cooking classes, including topics: food handling, reading food labels, ways to get good value for your food budget, introducing new foods, nutrition for growth and wellbeing, and simple ways to make your favourite recipes healthier.

School Aged Kids - Circus and physical theatre classes encouraging active play, nutrition games, having fun and learning skills.

Creche - Under 6 year olds will participate in this creche with an emphasis on physical activity and building skills.

The three groups will combine to play group games each week, share a healthy meal that the adults have prepared, and devise and perform a show at the end of the term for family and friends.
