CairnsPlan

Cairns City Council has developed a new Planning Scheme for the City of Cairns called CairnsPlan. CairnsPlan establishes Council’s planning intentions for the City for the next 10 – 15 years.

CairnsPlan was adopted by Cairns City Council on the 27 January 2005, and commenced on the 1 March 2005.

Important Note - Review of CairnsPlan

A review of the CairnsPlan has been undertaken and public notification occurred from the 8th May - 22nd June 2007.

The next step involves the final State interest check prior to Council resolving to commence the amendments.
