A temporary entertainment event is an event that is to be held on public or private property and on a temporary basis to provide entertainment to the public, regardless of whether payment is required.
There are two levels of temporary entertainment events:
Minor event - less than 1000 people
Major event - over 1000 people
If you want to hold a temporary entertainment event you will need to apply for a permit as there are a number of different factors Council takes into account when looking at whether to issues a permit. These include:
- The location, venue and surrounding amenity
- Compliance with environmental, health and safety standards
