About the council
Cairns Regional Council advises that the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon is now open to the public from 6am (previously 7am) to 9pm Thursday to Tuesday and 12noon to 9pm Wednesdays to allow for weekly maintenance.
Lifeguards are on duty during these times.
