Ground water drilling - Aloomba

Cairns Regional Council advises that investigative drilling works will commence along Moller Road, adjacent to Behana Creek, Aloomba on Monday, July 23.

The works will include drilling of several ground water monitoring bores that will measure ground water level fluctuations during the dry season and assist investigations into the feasibility of the Mulgrave River Aquifer as a supplementary drinking water supply for Cairns.

There will be no disruption to traffic, however there may be some low level noise while the drilling takes place between 7am and 6pm daily.

The works are expected to be completed by August 10, weather permitting.

Council thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during these necessary investigative works.
