Cairns North periodic footpath closures for pipe works (late July-August)
14 Jul 2012
As part of the recycled water project, the pathway from the Tanks to behind the Flying Leap will be closed periodically for up to three weeks while new pipes are laid.
Construction work is scheduled to start end of July, weather permitting. The new pipeline will cross the pathway in a number of locations extending north from Salt Water Creek towards Flying Leap.
As heavy machinery will be in operation, the path will be closed at various times to ensure public safety.
Any damage to the pathway will be repaired after works are completed.
Council apologises to cyclists and pedestrians for any inconvenience during these works.
