Control burn - Mt Peter

A controlled burn will be undertaken at the below locations/times:

1. Mt Peter (southern section), during the week of 8 October 2012, 12pm
2. Mt Peter (mid-section), during the week of 22 October 2012, 3pm

Should conditions not be favourable at this time, the burn may be undertaken on ensuing days.

Council apologises if this causes any inconvenience. This controlled burn is part of a fire prevention and hazard reduction program and is designed to reduce the frequency of wildfires, protect adjacent urban areas and provide a measure of conservation for the remnant forest habitat.
