Seminar to assist grant application process

The next round of Cairns Regional Council community grants is about to open and prospective applicants are invited to learn more at a workshop next week.
Funding is available via four grant streams: Sport and Recreation Financial Grant; Community Development Financial Grant; Local, Development and Major Events Grant; and Climate Change and Sustainability Grant.
Council’s grants program provides funding to community based groups, individuals and organisations that are providing programs, activities and projects that enrich opportunities to residents of the Cairns region.
A public seminar will be held in the Corporate Meeting Room at Barlow Park on Wednesday, October 3, from 7pm.
The seminar will be an opportunity to discuss potential applications and obtain advice and assistance regarding the application process. All prospective applicants are invited to attend.
Applications for all four grant streams open on Tuesday, October 2, and must be received by November 30.
