LGMA Queensland Management Challenge

Cairns Regional Council's – Cairns’ational team – placed 2nd in the State Management Challenge.

This team, consisting of members from across the organisation, spent two months working together as a team, and undertaking an indepth "prechallenge task" all about workforce attraction and retention. The team developed their knowledge base on areas such as governance, finance, how the Mayor and CEO make decisions, media relationships and HR.
