Who's coming to Carols by Candlelight this weekend?? Everyone has the opportunity to star in the night's opening number as part of a flash mob-style routine. Just learn the moves in the video below and sprig into action when the music starts playing. It is easy - we promise! The dance will kick in about 1min 30sec into the song and there will be dancers on stage doing the routine as a guide if you forget a step or two. And remember - you don't need to be the world's greatest dancer; it's all about being a part of this awesome event. The lineup has been finalised for this year's massive New Year's Eve concert on the Cairns Esplanade. The main wet play area at Muddy’s Playground will be closed on Tuesday so we can do some urgent maintenance on the drainage system. Parts of the playground will still be open, including the northern creek around the mudskipper. If you're heading to Crystal Cascades to cool off in this summer heat, please be aware of some works going on around a fallen branch. We've got to be a bit careful because there are powerlines nearby, so visitors are asked to keep clear of the fenced off area. We appreciate your cooperation :)

All beaches have reopened this morning but the stinger risk remains high, with favourable weather conditions for marine stingers. Now that the stinger season is here, SLSQ highly recommends wearing stinger suits and swimming in the stinger enclosures at patrolled beaches.
